This 10-day golf extravaganza is a golfer’s idea of heaven.

Incorporating Ireland’s finest destinations, you will travel from Dublin through the South West and the West of Ireland on this star-studded tour.

Starting off in Dublin, there is no better way to keep the energy levels high and counter jet lag than by taking the coast road to the wonderful European Club, which is less than an hour south of the city in the Garden Country of Ireland. Your Driver Guide can treat you to a return journey via the Wicklow Mountains, stopping at the famed Johnnie Foxes Pub. The next day, we recommend Portmarnock Golf Club, which is consistently ranked amongst the top golf courses in the world.

Head south the next day and after visiting the impressive Rock of Cashel, you will arrive in the Kingdom of Kerry for four nights. In the region, we’ll secure enviable tee-times at Ballybunion Golf Club, Waterville Golf Club and Tralee Golf Club. Finally, you will travel to the Limerick region to play Adare Manor, Lahinch Golf Club and Doonbeg Golf Club before departing either from Shannon Airport or Dublin Airport.

This itinerary is jam packed with golf! It also includes a lot of the main touring regions in the country. You will be effortlessly afforded the opportunity to experience Dublin City and its wide offering, the Wicklow Mountains, the Rock of Cashel, the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher, plus many more sites as your golf will be on the routes of these special attractions.

Your Driver Guide will be on hand to advise and facilitate you from the moment you are picked up to the moment you wave goodbye.

Our dedicated team have one goal in mind and that is to make each and every person’s trip one they will remember for the rest of their lives! European Club

European Club

If you are staying an extra night in Dublin City or maybe you have set up camp in Wicklow, the European Club is a real treat for golfers who are spending some time on the east coast. Just an hour south of Dublin City, the European Club provides one of the toughest links tests in all of Ireland. The course, by links standards, is quite new yet it feels as though golfers have been walking this track for over a century as the 18-hole course is carefully carved out of some of the best land in Brittas Bay.

The European Club has hosted the Irish Open 19 times since the competition’s inauguration in 1927. The last time the course held the event was in 2003. Each time the event was played, Portmarnock boasted a field of at least 34 competitors who were either major winners in prospect or had already held a major championship.

Ballybunion Golf Club

The Old Course at Ballybunion is undoubtedly one of the most popular links courses in the southwest, Ireland, and the entire world. Located in County Kerry, Ballybunion is the most sought-after tee time in the region. It has featured heavily on golf itineraries ever since Tom Watson visited in 1981 and put it on the map.

Waterville Golf Links

The history of the course dates back all the way to 1889. Waterville is quite remote so naturally, there is an interesting story as to how it became one of Ireland’s top golf destinations. American men came to Waterville as part of their work to lay the first transatlantic cable which aimed to deliver messages between North America and Europe. Their base was in Waterville and as they spent quite some time there, they began to set up a golf course. When the demand for their work phased out, the course closed in the 1950s before being restored to what we know it as today.

Tralee Golf Club

The first course that Arnold Palmer designed in Europe, and described by him as “the most perfect piece of land to build a golf course on” Tralee Golf Club has been fondly looked upon by some of the world’s finest golfers such as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. Tralee Golf Club is another jewel in the crown of links golf in the South West of Ireland.

Book of Kells at Trinity College

The Book of Kells Exhibition is a must-see on the itinerary of all visitors to Dublin. Located in the heart of Dublin City, a walk through the cobbled stones of Trinity College Dublin will bring visitors back to the 18th century, when the magnificent Old Library building was constructed, and which displays the Book of Kells.

The Book of Kells contains the four Gospels in Latin based on the Vulgate text which St Jerome completed in 384AD, intermixed with readings from the earlier Old Latin translation. The book is written on vellum (prepared calfskin) in a bold and expert version of the script known as “insular majuscule”.

Burren Smoke House

The Burren Smokehouse is a family-run business that was set up in 1989 by Birgitta & Peter Curtin. They researched the smoking traditions in Ireland and in Sweden and the idea of the Smokehouse was born. For over a century now, the Curtin family have owned the ‘Roadside Tavern’ nearby which was the first place where their own smoked salmon was served. Its quality became known very soon, and pubs, hotels and restaurants in the Lisdoonvarna area started to order salmon from the Smokehouse. At that time three people were working in the Smokehouse, today there is a team of almost 20. Orders started to come in from all over Ireland, followed by those from hotels and restaurants in the UK. Nowadays, the Burren Smokehouse supplies smoked salmon all over the world, within 48 hours.

Visitors can get a tasting of our Burren smoked Irish salmon and watch a DVD presentation about the smoking process. They can discover mosaics inside and outside our shop that are telling the story of the “Salmon of Knowledge”.

Cliffs of Moher

Stretching for five miles along Ireland’s western coast, the Cliffs of Moher are a sight more than 300 million years in the making. At their highest, the cliffs soar an impressive 702 feet above the Atlantic Ocean, offering inconceivable  views, according to Conde Nast. You might know them better as the Cliffs of Insanity from The Princess Bride and, along with the Burren, this is now a UNESCO site. We can bring you to this epic landscape by car, boat or air.
