This company is AMAZING! I have never been more satisfied with a business/service and if I could give them a 100-star review, I would. My boyfriend and I planned a last-minute trip to Ireland where we were visiting for the first time. I had reached out to a few driving services, nervous it was too late to book a driver. Joe Murphy at Ireland Chauffeur Travel was the first to get back to me and he did so in a matter of hours. Not only was he quick to respond, but he was also quick to put together an itinerary and get me back any adjustments I had made. I always felt like I was his #1 priority, even though I know he was dealing with other clients. Our Driver Tom O’Toole was honestly our favorite and most memorable part of our trip to Ireland. From his charismatic personality to his vast knowledge of history and all things discussed, he was an absolute delight to be around! Every place we drove or went to, Tom knew a backstory for it. He wasn’t afraid to get a little dirty either! Tom romped through the mud to make sure we got the best views possible, he gave us insider visiting tips on every place we went to and gave us better tours at some of these sites than the people that worked there. He also wasn’t afraid to go off the beaten path to give us personalized behind the scenes tours at many locations. He was very attentive to time and weather, making sure we always got to see everything we wanted and get the best weather possible to view it. Sometimes adjusting our agenda for the day so we wouldn’t get rained on. In addition to all that, Tom always recommended great pubs and places to shop everywhere we went. He was a true gentleman, always opening our car doors and pulling up for us at the exact moment we needed him, making sure we never had to wait around for him. Overall, Tom was a great driver, tour guide, photographer, meteorologist, and friend while we were there. He truly made our trip the best we have ever had and one that we will never forget. If you couldn’t already tell, I highly recommend this company and their services!

I wanted to write to thank you so much for arranging our day trip to Howth and our 3 day trip to the west coast of Ireland. Tom, our driver to Howth was just great. We were all recovering from a big day in the pubs and he kept us entertained and informed. We stopped at Malahide Castle which was an unexpected treat to our entire group. Since the weather wasn’t cooperating he gave us a wonderful tour of both Howth and the Dublin highlights. The 2nd part of our trip was with Gerry who took us to the west coast. Gerry is amazing with his knowledge and love of Ireland. We were all so grateful to have him as our tour guide. He was always right there to answer all our questions and get us the best views possible. We truly appreciate all you and your company did to make our trip fabulous.

What a treat!

We engaged the company in October 2019 for a private tour. Our driver John was just what the doctor ordered—our trip was a celebration of life from being cancer free.

John was great fun to be with for the day-informative and knowledgeable wherever we ventured to journey. By the end of the trip (one week) we all felt like family.

Our accommodations were perfect too. We want to come back and continue the tour for the southern route in Ireland. Our celebration travel continued on to England, France, and Rome with a transatlantic crossing back to the USA. We always gave a strong recommendation to other travelers to consider ICT as an alternative way to travel in Ireland. What a treat. From pick-up to drop-off we had a truly luxury experience

From booking with Joe through to our fabulous tour in Belfast, things could not have been easier. Everyone I dealt with in the office was efficient and helpful. Our driver, who took us from Belfast, up the Antrim Coast, and then back through Belfast on a wonderful city tour, was informative and attentive. My mother has issues walking and we never had to worry about the car being too far away or her having to walk long distances. The car was spacious and we were comfortable throughout our day trip. From pick-up to drop-off we had a truly luxury experience and I wouldn't hesitate to book again!

The vehicle was luxurious, clean and brand new!

This was a "bucket list" trip for our family of 6 (adults). It exceeded our expectations. The vehicle was luxurious, clean and brand new! All the events and accommodations Joe suggested were great. Our itinerary was perfectly planned and our days were full and exciting. Our tour guide, Tom O'Toole, was amazing and knowledgeable. He met us at the airport, and from then on was a great source of Irish history and so humorous! Tom was full of dining suggestions, and took us to interesting attractions away from the crowds. Highly recommend for anyone worrying about driving in Ireland

We recently got back from a 10 day trip around Ireland where we used this company to help us get around. Our driver's name was Peter and he was a delight. He was always on time and very collaborative on the itinerary for the day (I had a very detailed one but as I'm no expert was very open to hearing about things I'd missed). Peter's experience and driving helped us have a very enjoyable and relaxing trip. Highly recommend for anyone worrying about driving in Ireland. Your professionalism and drivers are first-rate!

Our fabulous trip is now in the history books with wonderful memories.
Just wanted to thank you for organizing our itinerary and setting us up with our very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable driver and guide, Eric Lye. Eric allowed us to relax and enjoy the scenery while getting us safely to our destinations.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t do anything about the Ireland weather on our first two days of touring where the rain seemed to be endless but he managed to make the best of the rainy situation. The last two days of touring the Dingle were perfect.

Hands down, the only way to see Ireland!

Hands down, the only way to see Ireland! Joe made planning this trip extremely easy. He was responsive, professional and took the time to educate me on all the potential options. The trip itself was almost perfect. Our guide (Tom) was an excellent driver, but more importantly, he was our historical guide, concierge, and culinary/social specialist. Every single recommendation Tom made exceeded our expectations. It actually became a family joke: “another average recommendation by Tom”. I will 100% recommend this to anyone I know taking a trip to Ireland

Todd and I were both very pleased with the overall service we experienced with this company. Alison was my main contact in the office when I was setting up the trip, and whether I was talking to Alison or one of her colleagues, the conversations were always seamless (the sign of an office that communicates well with one another!). It's really nice to work with a family run business, because that's the kind of service that I felt like I received at every point of contact; there was always a warm familiarity with each conversation.

However, what impressed us most of all was our tour guide, John. John was professional, extremely knowledgeable, dressed very well (we loved his suits!), and seemed to truly care about our experience. We couldn't have been any happier, and I will 100% recommend this to anyone I know taking a trip to Ireland.

We truly enjoyed our vacation with Breda

We truly enjoyed our vacation and Joe and Breda made it all possible. We didn’t worry about a thing, and I wasn’t stressed. Trip of a Lifetime – Top Notch Experience

I would like to provide a client testimonial for publication on your website regarding our positive experience with our driver/tour guide, Peter Chambers. We planned a multi-family vacation to Ireland which included a rough itinerary and hotels we booked ourselves. At the last minute and at the recommendation of family members who have traveled to Ireland, we decided to utilize a bus/chauffeur service to avoid the hassle of renting cars, driving ourselves, etc. Doing so would enable everyone to enjoy the vacation without one or two people having the burden of doing all of the driving. Without a doubt, it was the best decision we made especially because we had the good fortune to have Peter Chambers as our driver.
We knew from the moment we met Peter that it was going to be a fun trip. His warm personality, and great sense of humor made him instantly likeable. He had our itinerary in advance and made wonderful suggestions along the way for other sites to see and scenic routes to take from place to place which we would have otherwise missed. In addition, he suggested and arranged for our group to eat at fantastic restaurants along the way each day.
Peter went above and beyond what we would consider the typical responsibility of a driver/tour guide. For example, as part of our itinerary we planned to meet my mother-in-law’s cousin in Mayo for lunch. When we had no response from our cousin, Peter contacted a few friends of his who knew our relative, and was able to glean some valuable information about her situation. As it turned out, she was in the hospital. Peter contacted the hospital, and made arrangements for us to meet with her the next morning. Next, when visiting family graves at two different cemeteries, ironically, Peter knew the caretaker of one, and the neighboring farmer of the other, both of whom also knew relatives of our family. It never ceased to amaze us that Peter seemed to know people everywhere!
Finally, the best example of Peter going above and beyond his duties occurred when I realized my wallet was missing just prior to boarding our flight back to America. I contacted our hotel and they confirmed they had found my wallet. However, they indicated they would not be able to ship it back to me and could only leave it at the front desk for pickup. Without a means to pickup the wallet, I contacted Peter and thankfully he was more than willing to pick it up as he was going to be in Dublin in the next day or two. As promised, he picked up my wallet, arranged for overnight delivery to my residence back in the States and would not accept reimbursement for his out of pocket expenses. Truly above and beyond!
The experience with Peter far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely utilize you guys for future tours and specifically request Peter as our driver. We will also highly recommend his services to all our friends and family who are travelling to Ireland. He certainly went above and beyond to enhance our experience, and honestly by the end of our six days, he felt like family. Thank you, Peter, for everything! You are an asset to your team!

Great experience

We had a great experience. The touring company is super flexible. They will work with you to build the perfect schedule whether you want a quick tour of the local area or you want to spend the whole day driving across the country to see the Cliffs of Moher (which we did). Our drivers were amazing in their own unique ways. All were personable and we had engaging conversations which made time pass on some of the longer highway journeys. They were also very helpful in accommodating my son who has multiple food allergies, by searching for places where he could eat.

Dear Alison,
We survived jet lag and now want to express our appreciation to you for making our time in Ireland unforgettably wonderful.
Our first person to communicate with was you, Alison. You were especially patient as we worked out our itinerary. You were very knowledgeable and helpful of what to do and see, as well as having the hotel contacts, to make our stays convenient and comfortable.
Next, our driver Alan found us at the Dublin Airport, efficiently getting us to our hotel, then escorting us to Newgrange the next day. He, too, was knowledgeable and professional, starting us on our historical journey of Ireland.
Then we had the privilege of John Hourigan as our escort and friend for the next eight days. Every day we looked forward to being with him while we traversed ‘his’ country that he shared with us. He was always prompt and upbeat and knowledgeable of the day’s itinerary, suggesting additional delights we could include. All of these were places I would have had to do much more research to uncover. John was always cognizant of our needs and abilities, scaling activities with those in mind. And his knowledge of Irish history is boundless, making it interesting and delightful. I wish we could retain all that he shared. We were able to enjoy some of the excellent restaurant and entertainment suggestions. All in all, this trip was one of the best we have ever had.

Every aspect of this tour was amazing

Every aspect of this tour was amazing! The office staff Michelle and Aoife were so sweet, friendly and patient. The coach was beautiful and comfortable. The hotels were great! But the real star was our driver/guide. Martin Wilde made our trip so special! He was so knowledgeable, courteous, accommodating and flexible. However, he really outdid himself when we were looking for the town where my father was born and raised until he came to America at the age of 21. I would have been just happy to drive through the town, but Martin did one better. He pulled over and stopped in a shop in the town, and the next thing I know I am speaking with a woman who knew my family members and told me all about them. I have since been in contact with her via email. All this because Martin went that extra mile. It was the highlight of a truly amazing trip for my family! Thank you Martin! Thank you!

Perfect Ireland Adventure

I just wanted to thank you for all your help in making our Ireland adventure with Bob such a success. With ease you accommodated all of our additional needs and requests. Everything was perfect! All of our hotels were lovely and very conveniently located. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. We gathered daily at 9 and thoroughly enjoyed our morning breakfasts. We were easily able to navigate the local neighborhoods around the hotels. Many of your recommendations for restaurants, shopping and pubs in the area were used.​
Above all, Bob Noonan was fabulous! He was prompt, extremely professional and conscientious. His driving skills navigating the country and the many narrow and winding roads of Ireland were exemplary. He was extremely knowledgeable about the sights we were visiting. Similarly, he offered further insights into local lore. So, he certainly we went above and beyond in accommodating all our needs and desires. This included those of our traveling companion who required a wheelchair for all but the shortest of walks. Thanks to Bob, she was able to participate in each and every activity we did! He navigated her wheelchair up to the Rock of Cashel and across the grounds of Kylemore Abbey and Clonmacnoise. Also, with the assistance of jarvey Mike she was even able to ride in the jaunting car.
We made beautiful memories, in large part thanks to all of you.
Finally, I can guarantee that we will all be recommending your team to anyone we know who is planning a visit to Ireland.

Every single thing about this trip was effortless

Every single thing about this trip was effortless. Alison helped work out the perfect plan for our trip that met every one of the needs of a group of ten on a multi-generational family excursion. She was quick with her responses to my emails and was incredibly organized. She even went out of her way to help work out a surprise family photo session along the way. One of my favorite things was that she placed our whole itinerary into an app that I could share with the other travelers which eliminated the endless “what are we doing tomorrow” questions!
The tour guide (Mia) was fun and knowledgeable and went out of her way to make our tour a little more personalized and special. Mia also had great dining recommendations at every stop which was so very helpful with a larger group. The bus was the perfect size for a family of ten with plenty of room for all the luggage down below and roomy enough inside for everyone to have their own personal space. All of the accommodations exceeded our expectations.
I would not hesitate to highly recommend using this company if you want a fantastic hassle-free experience!!

I could not have planned a better trip myself

I wanted to send you a message regarding the trip we took with your company on June 10-19. Everything was absolutely perfect-I could not have planned a better trip myself. And Bob Noonan could not have been a more perfect driver for our family. His knowledge, experience, and sheer kindness made it a joy to get going every day. Our only regret is that we didn’t get a final photo with him when we parted ways last Monday. I was moved to tears (actual tears) when he dropped us off at Carton House because I never imagined I would enjoy your beautiful country as much as I did. Good afternoon, Alison,
It is Friday afternoon, 6/21, and I think I am finally coming out of the ‘travel fog’!!
I want you to know how absolutely thrilled my entire family was with ALL of the arrangements that you made for our trip.
The hotel selections were perfect! We especially liked The Great Southern where we were able to enjoy a family meal in their private dining room. The management was very accommodating and the hotel is lovely!
The brothers were thrilled with their golf experience at Old Head where the rest of us joined them for lunch. It is a beautiful spot!
Yet, words cannot begin to express our gratitude for our ‘Host’ and coach driver, Mr. Eric Lye. He was professional, informative, funny and kind. We were appreciative of how he listened to our requests, showed us places that were off the beaten path, explained the history of different parts of the country, and entertained us with stories and a few very funny jokes 🙂
What a delightful man and beautiful representative of that wonderful country.

Our entire family enjoyed the trip immensely!

I am sorry it took so long to respond to you – we all made a conscious effort not to be too connected to our phones during this trip and were often off-wifi. Tom was an excellent guide and our entire family enjoyed the trip immensely. All the stops, planned or unplanned, were terrific and he had such a wealth of knowledge on history, politics and so many other topics. He was also so tolerant of all our questions. We enjoyed every minute with him as our guide.
Thank you too for the assistance in planning our trip, I appreciate your guidance and attention to detail. We saw the office you work out of, but it was a weekend so we missed meeting you.
We truly enjoyed Ireland and I think another trip to the north of the country is in some of our future plans.

Tom, a fantastic guide for our week in Ireland

Mr. Tom O’Toole was a fantastic guide for our week in Ireland. He is such a great ambassador for Ireland and was very knowledgeable about the history and geography of all the areas we visited. He provided excellent restaurant recommendations and having children similar in age to our own, knew just how to relate to our three teenage sons!
We would strongly recommend this company to anyone looking to have a fun, enjoyable and stress free Ireland vacation!

Our Family Trip Was Amazing

The hotels were great, our drivers Archie and William were perfect, really adding a lot to the family adventure. We have not stopped speaking about our 10 day tour of Ireland which we have just recently completed. You were a delight to work with in planning our itinerary and you were so gracious and knowledgeable as changes were made over the time prior to our arrival. The recommendations which you made were each “spot on” as the tour proceeded and made our trip all the more enjoyable.
Bob Noonan was such a gift to us as our driver as we toured southern Ireland for the first time. His knowledge of the country is exhaustive and included not only the byways as he drove us but the nation’s history and culture in great detail. He was always gentle in his guiding our days and open to changes as new opportunities arose. This included Patty’s discovery of her ancestor’s roots in a town outside our itinerary but Bob not only made a way to visit the town but the actual church where these genealogic records were held! Bob would offer additional sites and experiences to us daily which connected with our specific interests. His care for us included driving us by the best restaurants in each town we stayed over and ensuring that all our accommodations and reservations were confirmed and to our satisfaction. He is an outstanding driver and guide and we recommend him wholeheartedly.
Michelle and Bob, thank you for the great kindness and skills which you lavished on us. We so hope that we will have the chance to return to Ireland and could not imagine that future trip without you both being a part of our experience.
