Set in the picturesque estate of one of Ireland’s finest manor house hotels, this magnificent parkland course is one of the finest of its kind in all of Europe and is why it was awarded the 2026 Ryder Cup.

One of the finest parkland offerings in the world
The course was originally designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1995 and was a spectacular addition to Ireland’s portfolio of world-class golf courses. In 2016 the entire property was redeveloped and the course was redesigned by Tom Fazio. Fazio took one of Ireland’s most decorated courses and transformed it into one of the finest parkland offerings in the world. Taking advantage of its surrounds, Adare Manor has captured the feel of Augusta with its vibrant green grass, its wonderful woodlands, and its stunning use of flowers throughout the course. The layout of the course follows its previous design but everything from tees, to fairways, to rough, to bunkers, and eventually to green have been revamped with a large emphasis now put on top-tier drainage and irrigation systems to ensure that the course is in immaculate shape all year round. It is a peaceful walk through nature…that is until you remember you have 14 clubs with you.
But we are here for the golf...
Though the fairways are wide, there is a lot of danger to be found in fairway bunkers and in some instances, you will have to shape shots around mature trees that lay in the middle of the fairway. Shot placement is key especially when approaching the greens as they run true and fast and are trickier than most links greens in Ireland. If you think you are coming to Adare Manor to recover from some tough links golf, you have already underestimated what this course will present you. It will be tough, but consistency in your approach will be greatly rewarded.

This course has hosted the world’s best under the previous design for the JP McManus Pro-Am. The annual resumption of this event will take place in 2021 for the first time since 2010 and since its redesign.
Our Verdict:
If you were to take your favourite hole from 18 different golf courses and put them together, you would get Adare Manor as each hole here is like a feature hole on a top-tier course .
